BBQ Pork
21Mar09
I love BBQ pork and I wanted to see how well I could make my own.
[100% organic]
Ingredients:
- 0.75-1 lb pork tenderloin, unsliced
- 2 TB sake
- 2 TB soy sauce
- 2 TB brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 TB hoisin sauce
- 0.5 tsp 5-spice powder
- 2 TB honey, and more to glaze
Instructions:
- Mix sake, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, hoisin sauce, and 5-spice powder together
- Marinate tenderloin for 2-3 hours in the fridge
- Preheat oven to 375°F (adjust temperature to your oven)
- Grease roasting pan with canola oil and place tenderloin into pan
- Glaze remaining marinade over one side of the pork before putting into oven
- After 20 minutes, flip over and glaze other side of pork with the marinade
- After another 20 minutes, flip and glaze with honey for 10 minutes
- When that’s done, glaze the other side with honey for another 10 minutes
- Remove from oven and let it cool, then slice it
