I’m having a very weirdly acting sweet tooth today. First these cookies, and now a chocolate caramel tart. Look for that later, most likely tomorrow because it takes such a long time to make.

The original recipe calls for toffee but I can’t find toffee anywhere in Austin! I went to Whole Foods, HEB, Central Market, Asian supermarkets, and Sur La Table! Toffee was no where to be found AND they all thought I said “coffee” and showed me the coffee aisle -.-

I love banana bread.

Ingredients:

6-8 ripe bananas, smashed
1/3 cup butter, melted
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 cup of all purpose flour
0.5 cup rolled oats
Some pine nuts
Some dried cranberries
Some dried blueberries
Some pecan pieces
Some cashews
Some pumpkin seeds
Some sunflower seeds
Some almonds
Some hazelnuts

Apple Crumble

I love apple crumble. It’s so easy to make. I think it’s better than apple pie. Made with apples, rolled oats, grade B maple syrup, brown sugar, cane sugar, and cinnamon.

Sliced apples
0.75 cup brown sugar
1 cup rolled oats
0.5 cup all-purpose flour
100 g butter, room temperature
