After the shrimp bisque, I’ve been dying to use my blender for another bisque. Crab meat is expensive and so is lobster so I settled for shrimp again. But I bought a pound of prawns to use instead and some cherrystone clams.

I invited Bharat over for dinner and we had pot-sticker jiaozi and boiled jiaozi and huntun.
This is the filling for the dumplings from last night:

0.5 lb ground pork
0.5 lb Texas white environmentally responsible aquaculture farmed shrimp
2 bunches of chopped garlic chives
3 diced green onions
2-inch diced ginger

Wontons are my favorite dumpling because I like the soup that comes with it too.

Filling:

Shrimp
Napa cabbage
Garlic chives
Soy sauce
Hoison sauce
Ginger
Green onions
Corn starch
Sesame oil

Soup Ingredients & Instructions:

Boil a pot of water with chicken bouillon/chicken stock
Once boiling, put wontons in and cook until ready – 10 minutes on medium-low heat after wontons are floating

Ok, I’m a little bit sick of pasta. I will continue my pasta cravings tomorrow or Sunday. I’ve been looking for a recipe for my leftover corn meal from the polenta pizza I made on 2/23/09. And what do I love to eat? Shrimp!

Shrimp Bisque

You’re probably thinking, shrimp again?! But I love eating shrimp. When I was growing up for the second part of my childhood in Hong Kong, I had shrimp almost everyday.
I was planning to make lobster bisque but I can’t afford lobsters yet… why are the tails so expensive? $40! I think they are extremely overpriced. [...]


After a hard day at work, I was too exhausted to cook but I had to cook something for dinner. So I cooked the most simple thing I could think of (and what I had in my fridge).

[100% organic, wild clams & wild Gulf Atlantic shrimp]
Ingredients:

I don’t like curry at all. I don’t eat Indian food and when I do eat Thai food, I avoid the curry. But since I told myself that I should give certain foods that I don’t like another chance, I decided to make Thai red curry tonight for dinner.
